My last months on Chino Valley Town Council were spent trying to understand why the other council members were so intent with the Perkins airfield. I did not see this big boost to the town revenue nor could any staff or council member verify any revenue growth. All I saw in meetings were most council, staff and P&Z falling for Mr. Perkins vision of this airfield industrial center. I asked if a financial analysis or research on revenue from a lease had been done. No had been the answer to each question. I question all the job opportunities and how the town will profit from this vision, I was even told that speculation was a reason for votes. We now have a Prop 410 on the November ballot, keep Chino Valley rural a no vote means no airfield and we stay rural. I received a flyer informing me to vote yes for the airport or there could be thousands of homes. I didn’t see that a yes vote would bring revenue, job opportunities to the town. So the vision is only for the Perkins ranch. VOTE NO ON 410 Bob Schacherer, ex Chino Valley Town Councilman |
